FujiFilm X100 news.

The eagerly awaited FujiFilm X100 should be available soon. Here are some official FujiFilm images taken with the X100 and there is a video at the foot of this article.

Although it is digital and boasts the latest digital technology FujiFilm has, including a few ground-breaking innovations unique to FujiFilm and this camera, it looks like an amazing piece of kit aimed at old style photographers from the age of “real” photography before digital arrived.  Of course youngsters who love superior engineering and the true art of photography will appreciate it just the same but it looks to have the style and feel that come from an era when photography was an art and not merely a computer peripheral or fashion accessory.

With the non-interchangeable, fixed focal length lens it will probably be a niche product.

It certainly makes me drool. With an expected price tag of around £1000 it will probably be beyond my budget but I can dream.

For purists who believe that rotating jpeg images loses some data, I have left them non-rotated to preserve the original files.
