Hot Air Balloon
Photos of a hot air balloon with the “Virgin” logo flying in the region between South Lanarkshire, the Pentland Hills and the Scottish Borders.
I first caught up with the sight of the balloon near Carnwath and easily followed as it floated towards the hills heading southwards towards the Scottish Border country.
It drifted around the hills over the forestry and woods near Newbigging (on the A721), eventually landing between Weston, Dunsyre and Walston.
The hill in the image beneath the balloon is Black Mount.
The final image shows the backlit balloon landing near the South Medwin River in a field adjacent to one with sheep.
These photographs were taken in April 2010 using a Fujifilm S5 DSLR. Shot in RAW format and processed in Photoshop CS2 ACR2.4
